Mathematicians in top 0.2% of pupils

We now have the results from the UK Junior Maths Challenge in both the Olympiad and Kangaroo rounds.

We reported back in June that we were very excited and proud to have four pupils who made it through to the Olympiad round (top 1,000 out of 300,000 entrants) and another four pupils to the Kangaroo round (next 8,000 out of 300,000).

In the Kangaroo round, Charlie Gray scored a Merit, which puts him in the top 25% in his round.

All four of our mathematicians in the Olympiad round scored a Merit.  Congratulations to Henry Langford, Eden Littlefair, Luke Skinner and Ed Timberlake. Out of the 300 000 pupils that enter only 1000 are asked to do the Olympiad and only 50% get a Merit or above. This puts our four Olympiad boys in the top 0.2% of pupils.

These are fantastic results.   Well done to all our mathematicians.
