Memories made on fun-filled trip for our eldest pupils
Our Year 8 children spent four unforgettable days in Calshot, taking part in a vast variety of activities, sports and teambuilding exercises.

Snowboarding on the dry slopes
Everyone enjoyed hitting the dry slopes for a bit of snowboarding, which the children took to incredibly well despite many having never tried it before.
"We were so impressed by everyone throwing themselves into snowboarding. We enjoyed seeing Vivien, Monty and Freddie W demonstrating their skills on the slopes."

Fun on the water
Our Year 8 children made the most of their seaside location and thoroughly enjoyed some wind surfing, including one pupil who tried it for the first time despite not being a confident swimmer. This is the resilience and bravery which we are so proud to see in our pupils at the end of Year 8, and it is a privilege to be able to support them to take these leaps of faith in a safe, controlled environment.
Indoor activities
Pupils also tried their hand at some indoor shooting and archery, and both Mr Bennett and Miss Kozlowska agreed that the girls' shooting in particular was "scarily good". Well done to Cynthia who was named by staff as the best shooter.
One of the all time favourite activities on this trip was the velodrome, which allowed pupils to cycle at high intensity.
Evenings were spent skimming rocks on the beach, watching passing ships and chatting by the shore during free time, but of course there were more activities for the children to throw themselves into. Dodgeball, football, team building and of course ringos down the dry slopes!
