Our Open Mornings are designed to give you a genuine feel for life at Westbourne House.
You’ll have the chance to meet our Headmaster, who leads the whole school and sets its vision and direction, alongside our Head of Pre-Prep and Juniors, who brings specialist expertise in the early years and lower school. Together, they ensure every child is known, supported and thrives.
You will also meet our teachers and members of our Senior Leadership Team and enjoy a guided tour led by our Year 7 & 8 pupils. Along the way, you’ll see children taking part in activities - art, music, drama, science - explore our facilities and, most importantly, get a sense of the warmth, energy and values that shape our community.
Yes. One of the most valuable parts of the morning is the opportunity to talk directly with both pupils and staff. Our children lead the tours and are always happy to share their experiences, while teachers and senior staff are on hand throughout to answer any questions you may have.
Not at all. We will ask you beforehand if there is anything you particularly are interested in, and if you have any specific questions about academics, pastoral care, co-curricular opportunities or admissions, our team will be very happy to help on the day.
Absolutely. We are a day and boarding school. Some of our families are based in London with their child enjoying weekly boarding. Others live locally and commute to the city, whilst enjoying the space, fresh air and coastline that Chichester and West Sussex offers. These families choose Westbourne House for a different pace of life, the chance of a true childhood, alongside an outstanding education.
Visiting in person is the best way to understand how this balance works in practice.

We are both. Many families join us as day pupils, while others choose boarding, either full-time or flexibly, to fit around family life.
