This term, Year 6 embarked on an audacious Disney production of Beauty and the Beast. The Year 6 pupils were stars to work with, throwing all their energies into a production featuring timeless tunes, outlandish characters, challenging dance routines and demanding backstage manoeuvres.
With many still only ten years old, they worked commendably hard with terrific teamwork. There were opportunities for all, whether it be helping with the scenery, creating special stage effects or soaking up the limelight with wild dances in colourful costumes.
The control box team enjoyed the challenge of distorting Emily Stewart’s microphone to sound like a ferocious beast during the live stage performance. Many congratulations to Emily, Josie Becker and the whole cast and crew for a terrific team effort in staging a highly complex show in one term. There are certainly many colourful photos to enjoy!
