The World Beneath Our Feet

Our Year 3 children enjoyed a brilliant day in the local woods at Seeley Copse on the Goodwood Estate.

It was a great opportunity for this new year group to work together to learn more about the 'world beneath our feet'. The children loved examining the rocks, soil sampling, fossil casting, learning about compost and worm gardeners to support what they are learning in science this term.

They enjoyed a lovely walk across the Goodwood Estate via the CASS Sculpture Foundation sculpture park to the chalk pit where the children built some very creative woodland shelters. Lots of teamwork was needed and everyone contributed to make some spectacular structures fit for a night under the stars. Well done Year 3!
