Fitness Test

We also put every year group through the multi-stage fitness test. This cardiovascular endurance test has been performed very well across the board. Particularly impressive have been Felix B, Felix L, Fergus O’C, Tommy O, Freddie W, Finn B, Theo C, Neve B, Willow L, Fleur B, Cassidy B, Josie B and Alice de L.

Teamwork and Inter-Patrol Events

In our Games sessions, we have tried to concentrate on game play and working together with others, something the children have missed out on during lockdown. We have seen lots of communication, efficiency, creativity and support, which has been really pleasing.

We have also completed a number of inter-patrol events to reinforce these skills. The competition often brings out the best in their performances.

The boys have played a combination of hockey, rugby and football, while the girls have focussed on netball and hockey.

Colours

We have thought long and hard about colours for the winter sports. With no inter-school matches it is not an easy task, but we feel strongly the children should not miss out.

We have scrutinised the pupils play in games sessions and have come up with a number of criteria that should be fulfilled to be worthy of an award: excellence, attitude, commitment, team work and fair and honest behaviour, which are all valuable assets in our major games.
