Learning about pollination and biodiversity
Our Year 4 pupils were buzzing with excitement to be joined by a wonderful group of beekeepers from Chichester District Council.
The children welcomed Maddy Matthews and the Strategic Wildlife Corridors Project, who visited Westbourne House to teach our junior pupils all about beekeeping and the vital role bees play in pollination and biodiversity, both of which protect our planet.

This visit was especially useful in helping our children understand the importance of our wildflower beds, which attract pollinators and encourage wildlife on our grounds to flourish. Thank you so much to our visitors for an insightful session and an important reminder of why taking care of our grounds, and the creatures that live there, is so important.
