Bee the change - habitat project for pollinators

Environment Committee create nesting sites for masonry bees.

Our newly elected Environment Committee reps enjoyed learning about masonry bees found locations for new potential nesting sites for them.

“We have been building masonry bee homes to help protect these solitary bees, whose numbers have been decreasing. Since they are such proficient pollinators and help make a lot of our food, we must try to keep their numbers up. They build their nests using mud and other materials but they also love a bee hotel!”
