Year 2 receive special buddy letter

As their time in the Pre-Prep came to a close, teachers and staff in the Pre-Prep said a very fond farewell to our wonderful Year 2 children.  Physically, the children aren't going far in September, but for many children, the move to Year 3 feels like a big change.  Luckily, the Year 3 children took the time to share their infectious love of Year 3 by writing a special letter to their buddy in Year 2.

In the letter, the Year 3 children describe what it is like in Year 3, what the Year 2s can look forward to and reminds them that it will be so much fun.

Dotty, who is in Year 3, and wrote a lovely letter to Maggie, told us: “I liked writing a buddy letter to Maggie.  I’ve still got my buddy letter at home that I got when I was in Year 2. It was written by Millie and the funny thing is that my big sister wrote her buddy letter to Millie!"

In the letter, the Year 3 children also shared their top tip.  Dotty’s top tip, which ensures you are having fun in Year 3, is “play with your friends because they will still be here". Oliver’s top tip is “never give up even when you struggle”.

In September at the start of the new school year, the buddies will meet up in the Prep School and the older children will show the brand new Year 3s around for the first few days.
