Year 2 photography competition

We are very proud of our budding photographers in Year 2 who have taken these wonderful pictures of Autumn - the theme of this year’s Year 2 Photography Competition.

The competition is part of the computing and ICT curriculum and award-winning photographer and Westbourne House parent, Henry Dallal, adjudicated the competition and chose the winning photographs from each class.

Year 2 teacher, Mrs Lovejoy, said: “The children are learning how to take digital photographs using a digital device. They were able to consider whether their photograph should be landscape or portrait and how they could use lighting to good effect, and they all proved that they could be incredibly creative with many children producing more than one entry.

“The children looked carefully at the colours of Autumn, the wonderful misty mornings and Halloween pumpkins and they showed great empathy too, when they gave feedback to each other about their competition entries.”

Thank you Henry Dallal for coming to our Pre-Prep assembly to announce the winners and discuss all the wonderful entries – well done everyone!
