Winchester Science Centre

Our year 3 and 4 pupils had a fabulous trip to the Winchester Science Centre - science at its very best.
The children took part in a fun-packed workshop where they learnt about rocket propulsion and what makes a rocket go faster. They also visited the in-house planetarium, the largest of its kind in the UK, where they saw all the planets and learnt about star constellations.

Space is this term's topic for Years 3 and 4 and this trip really helped the whole subject come to life. The children really enjoyed all the interactive activities and hands-on science experiences which helped them see their topic in a new light as well as sparked curiosity to find out more. We all had a great day.
