Getting Year 4 pupils ready for the next stage
To prepare our Year 4 children for the move up to Year 5, our current Year 5 pupils were set the task of thinking about some of the differences between the two years and some of their favourite times in Year 5.
Some of the most notable differences included:
- having lessons with different teachers in different classrooms
- playing hardball cricket
- enjoying more sports opportunities (matches on Wednesdays and Saturdays)
- having 'prep' time at the end of the day to complete homework
- doing subject lessons instead of topics
It is our pupils' willingness to share information, communicate and be leaders which makes for such a seamless transition to the next stage of the academic journey. Hear from our pupils themselves as they address questions and share their knowledge with you.
