Encouraging confidence in our Pre-Prep children
Through daily interactions in the classroom and lots of opportunities to perform, we support our pupils to develop the self-belief and confidence they need to take on varied challenges throughout life. It's a process that starts in the Early Years and continues right up until the end of Year 8.
Our wonderful Reception children gave a very assured performance of The Gigantic Turnip in front of the rest of the Pre-Prep and their parents. This took two weeks of hard work rehearsing, lots of careful artwork (they each made their own hat for the performance) and lots of singing practice with parents at home (thank you all for your wonderful support).
This story was chosen as it linked with our topic of healthy eating and growing plants.
“Parents were delighted with the children’s lively retelling of the hilarious story, which was beautifully complemented by four incredibly catchy songs."
Mrs Rogers, Reception teacher
Mrs Rogers was front and centre encouraging the children, which led to excellently loud singing and the incorporation of props and movement into the performance.
