Primary Maths Challenge 2020

In mid-November, all pupils in Years 5 and 6 took part in the annual Primary Maths Challenge. This is a nationwide challenge aimed at the top 60% of Year 6 pupils in the country. Pupils have to answer a range of questions which test their problem-solving skills and understanding of how numbers work.

We are pleased that eight pupils achieved the top Gold Awards, scoring 19 or above. Nine pupils scored between 15 and 18 marks, earning them a Silver Certificate and 15 pupils scored between 13 and 15 marks earning a Bronze Certificate. These pupils will get their certificates in an Assembly when we return to school.

Well done to all pupils who took part.

Congratulations in particular to those who achieved Gold Certificates:

  • Martha B
  • Zara C

  • Zazzy H

A special mention to Amy, Zazzy and Zara who made it through to the Bonus Round, which we hope will take place in February.
