Me, Myself and I

Reception pupils have been exploring the topic Me, Myself and I over this first half of term. The topic gives the children the perfect opportunity to look at everything that makes them special as individuals, as part of a family and as part of a community.

Year 2 teacher Mrs Lewis said: "We have also been thinking about how differences should be celebrated by sharing the book ‘Chocolate Milk Por Favor!’ by Maria Dismondy. This book looks at diversity and helped us to think like Empathetic superheroes.

"Our Something Special Day was a great way to bring our topic to a close with the children wearing their favourite clothes to school. They then celebrated with party games and delicious snacks before heading over to the Sports Hall to try out bouldering with sport teachers Mr Hanley, Mrs Pullen and Mr Berry."

Mrs Lewis added: "What a fantastic way to mark the children’s first half term at school! We can’t wait to see what the next half term brings!"

“My favourite part was the party food.”

“My best bit was the pass the parcel because I love that game!”

“I loved climbing!”
