Year 3 'wows' their audiences
"Don't judge a book by its cover, we are all unique, we are all the same," chimed the final chorus. Year 3 showed us that by being unique and working together, we can achieve fabulous things!
Our Year 3 pupils impressed us all with their brilliant play, 'Dragon Days', whether they were acting the part of a gossiping villager, acting with puppetry, having an onstage snowball fight, or singing out a catchy song.
"I'm very proud of Year 3. They performed this play with the utmost confidence throughout, getting into their characters, and learning all their lines for spoken parts and songs"
Mrs Pitman, Year 3 teacher.
"Mr Cousens, Head of Drama, created a very child-centric process for this play. He worked with the pupils to create a unique character for each person (including a unique costume) and the children responded with energy and enthusiasm. The children progressed well with their acting during rehearsals and he encouraged them to take on the role of their character in every way."
At the dress rehearsal and the final evening show, the audiences left with BIG smiles on their faces, which speaks volumes about the theatre experience created by our brilliant Year 3 pupils.
Mrs Lovejoy, Year 2 teacher, said "It was really lovely to see Year 3 on stage. They are all growing so much in confidence."
