Discovering Chichester and Bognor

"The children come back from the land use survey with a wide range of geography vocabulary that they are 100% confident to use. It is the most satisfying of geography field trips."

Mrs Pollock, Geography Teacher

Mrs Armitage and Mrs Pollock set out with our Year 5s and combined a geographical land use survey alongside a trip to Bognor to uncover this seaside town's Victorian history.

The trip supports Year 5’s topic on Victorian Britain where the children find out about seaside holidays and their geographical understanding of Chichester from central business district to nearby countryside.

The group also took the opportunity to pop into Chichester Cathedral to see the Peace Doves by artist Peter Walker.
