Year 5 and 6 Mathematicians enjoy Regional maths challenge

Maths Challenge at Christ's Hospital

Austin, Marcus, Euan and Rohan joined 160 other keen Year 5 mathematicians for an entertaining and puzzling afternoon at Christ’s Hospital. After watching the lunchtime marching band and procession, they split into pairs and worked through a series of challenges, each lasting eight minutes and including activities such as playing cards, dominoes and broken calculators. They then completed a 10 question multiple choice quiz. The Westbourne House pupils performed exceptionally well, coming 2nd and 16th out of 68 pairs. Well done!
