Our Year 4 pupils have been practising rounding numbers to the nearest 10s and 100s and their estimation skills. The children had the chance to put their maths learning into a real-life application by using their creativity and imagination to make a board game.
Year 4 teacher, Miss Hannan, said: “The children worked really well together and are very proud of their finished products. We hope that their siblings and parents had fun playing their new games at home.
”Activities like these help re-inforce the maths skills addition, subtraction and multiplication - plus the children loved being able to show what they had learnt."
One Year 4 pupil said: "It was so much fun. We all worked together and we were allowed to be as creative as we liked."
