Year 4 had the most wonderful ‘super start’ to their Roman topic at the start of this week with a fabulous trip to Bignor Roman Villa
The children had the opportunity to see some stunning (world class) mosaic floor designs and test their knowledge of Roman numerals as well as use a wax tablet and have a go at creating their very own mosaic masterpieces! The highlight, however, had to be grinding flour using the quern - now that was hard work!
“It really inspired me to find out as much as possible about the Romans,” said one pupil.
