Trip to Brighton Sealife Centre

Year 5 children headed to The Sealife Centre in Brighton last week to do some first-hand research into the magical creatures from the sea. The children sketched fish, turtles, stingrays and seahorses, to name but a few, and they paid close attention to detail, colour, the environment and the underwater life.

Back in the classroom, the children are creating a piece of artwork based on their experience and are bringing all their research together to form a fascinating one-point perspective piece of art. Their final pieces will be in water colour and fine liners.

Head of Art, Mrs Jeram, said: "The children are planning for the magic of the underwater to jump off the page and grab you - watch out as you walk through our art gallery."
