Roman soldier visits

The Junior Department enjoyed their visit from Marcus Julius Britannica. He came in to tell the children what to expect if you were a soldier in the Roman army.

He brought with him a huge amount of armour and equipment for the Year 3 and 4 children to look at and even enjoy wearing. He took them through their paces with a marching drill in Latin! He commended them for their efforts but felt there was room for improvement! What a fabulous experience.
