Year 3 were treated to an enriching trip to see a live orchestra this week at Chichester Festival Theatre.
Having learnt about various instruments of the orchestra in their music lessons, it was great to have the chance to see a professional orchestra, Southern Pro Musica, perform at Chichester Festival Theatre. They performed music by Albinoni, Strauss and Tchaikovsky to name but a few, along with a specially written song by their conductor, Jonathan Willcocks. One of our pupils, Emily Franks, even got the chance to go up on stage and play the big bass drum with the orchestra!
The children came away feeling very inspired, so who knows what instruments they might learn to play in the future.
