The first ever Westbourne House Rock Gig took place last week, with various bands taking to the stage to entertain.
Songs such as Sweet Child of Mine, Billie Jean, Hotel California, and Won’t get fooled again rang out from the Millennium Hall. The evening ended with a set from The Band With No Name, made up of the school’s more advanced rock musicians, with songs including Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix and Black Night by Deep Purple. Such was the atmosphere that a number of the audience got to their feet for a dance!
A good evening was had by all, and this is sure to be an annual event.
