Geography students explore Chichester

Year 5 participate in a fantastic geography trip around Chichester as part of their land use study.

This time it was the turn of class 5TJa to look at Chichester with new eyes.  They mapped the land use of the area and gained further insight into the environment in which we live.

They started with a tour of the CBD (Central Business District) and then visited the more residential areas in the inner city. They also visited an industrial estate and thought about the types of industry that are located in these areas.

The class ended the afternoon with a beautiful walk to Halnaker Windmill. From here they could see all the land uses of Chichester and spotted the important landmarks.

A brilliant trip with some great Year 5 geographers!
