Collaborative activity afternoon

Our Juniors (Years 3 and 4) spent an afternoon completing activities with pupils from the Pre-Prep (Year 1 and 2). The teachers were so impressed to see such enthusiasm and great kindness and empathy from the older children towards the younger ones. The Year 3 children talked fondly of their memories of their activity afternoon when they were the younger ones!

Together they completed a bridge building challenge and made creative hot air balloons as they prepared to go ‘up, up and away’ with their new friends.

Mrs Pitman said: “What a lovely afternoon, we so enjoyed working with our Pre-Prep friends on our hot air balloons; we even had our photos taken in a photo booth, using props and costumes. “

Miss Hanan said: "The children worked in small mixed groups and had to build a bridge strong enough for a car and tall enough for a boat to go under. The extra challenge was they could only have certain equipment and no scissors! The children demonstrated great team work, listening to each other ideas and all having a turn. Lots of fun was had by all!"

Well done to all the children and we hope they have super memories of their special afternoon.
