Celebrating delicious school food

With harvest festival on our minds this week, we have been celebrating our delicious school food and our wonderful chef Graham and his brilliant team.

Everything is cooked to serve so whether you eat at 12 noon or 1.45pm your meal is always freshly prepared.

"That makes cooking for a lot of people a lot harder,” says Graham, “but it also means that no one eats food that is undercooked or overcooked. We take great pride in giving the children and staff healthy meals and we feel very appreciated.”

Graham and his team daily prepare main meal options, giving children a great choice of flavours and a well-balanced meal, plus there is an extensive salad bar and baked potatoes or sweet potatoes.

On the pudding front, the team make delicious low-sugar yoghurts which are topped with honey, freshly crushed raspberries, mango or strawberries.  Children can also choose to have fruit or the more classic puddings such as sticky toffee pudding.
