Boarding round-up - March 2025

Rock Up in Whiteley and West Wittering beach

Mrs and Mrs Armitage gave our boarders an action-packed weekend. But don't worry, there was time to relax too!

After a delicious breakfast prepared by our weekend chef Darren, the boarders walked it off on West Wittering beach.

“It was absolutely gorgeous down at West Wittering and, as the tide was out, we joined half of Chichester in a brisk walk around East Head before getting back to the minibus for a flask of hot chocolate and some well-earned biscuits!”

Back at school, everyone enjoyed a roast lunch before heading out to Rock Up in Whiteley, an amazing indoor adventure centre, for some excellent climbing and high ropes fun.

“It was great to see the children helping each other to get the most out of some challenging climbing obstacles,” Mrs Armitage explained.

“We collapsed in a cafe before heading back to school to work on the children's entries for the school's book character design competition – a weekend well spent!”

Pamper night

Our pupils are busy day to day, and our boarders enjoy so many games, adventure parks, walks, fishing trips and more, that sometimes it is nice to just kick back and relax.

A pamper night is just the ticket - with face masks on, Mrs Jeram reported it was lovely to sit and relax together. Later, they felt so refreshed that they had the energy for a treasure hunt which required teamwork and problem-solving.

Water park

With Mr Cousens and Mr Bennett, the boarders enjoyed Coral Reef Water Park! The highlight of the trip was enjoying the exciting flume chutes including a challenge to tap giant flashing lights as you hurtle down the rides to beat your friends' scores.

The children enjoyed partnering up on inflatable doughnuts to race down the terrific rides. The park also had an exploding volcano, tropical rapids, waterfalls and a giant pirate ship firing water jets from the deck.

Congratulations to Mr Bennett for braving and surviving The Cannon Ride - one of the fastest water chutes in the UK that takes your breath away the moment you enter and fall into the pitch dark abyss!

We had a fun journey back listening to Newcastle beat Liverpool in the Wembley Cup Final.

Flip Out

The Year 8 boarders headed to Flip Out to burn off some energy. After an early supper, they headed out for an hour of flipping, bouncing and fun. A well-deserved end of term outing!

They've been so amazing this term, so we felt that they deserved a treat. What a great way to end the term!
