Weekend Adventures:

Beaches, Cowdray Estate, Treetop Adventures

A recent gloriously sunny weekend afforded our boarders a brilliant range of activities with Mr Allum, beginning with a trip down to West Wittering just before sunset on Saturday. A gentle walk across the Cowdray estate on Sunday morning, complete with takeaway smoothie, built up the children’s appetites for a delicious roast lunch back at school before setting off to scale the heights of Wildwood Treetop Adventure in Guildford.

Donutting and Tennis

Our full time boarders had a blast donutting on the dry ski slope in Southampton. One of our onsite boarding staff, Emily Van Holland, said: “The boarders are massively into tennis at the moment so we started the day with tennis, before heading to Southampton to take to the dry ski slope for brilliant races in the rubber rings. We had endless, hysterically fun races and everyone loved it. It was such a hot day, so we all cooled down with an ice cream before returning to Westbourne for more tennis and some volleyball. It was a brilliant day. On the dry ski slope, I felt like I could be a child again, we all had so much fun!”⠀

House Challenges

Meanwhile in Pear Tree, houseparents Mr and Mrs Smith have been running Ant and Dec Saturday Night-style challenges with the Year 8 girls. Two examples include a simple game where two opposing teams throw a ping pong ball into the cups on the other side of the table and another called Rock, Paper, Scissors, Flour where the losing player gets a face full of flour!
