Basil Fawlty and his motley crew serve up dinner

Year 7 invited parents to their production of A Fawlty Towers Restaurant Experience. Dressed in clothes from the 1970s, parents arrived to dine in the hotel and were treated to hilarious abridged scenes from the original show full of chaos, gags and shambolic service. The children also served food and performed in tribute bands from the era. A magical ambiance emerged as parents watched scenes by candlelight and feasted on the generous delicacies that Basil and his staff were fortunate enough to welcome into the hotel. This project aimed to give the Year 7 children an opportunity to stage their very own exclusive evening of drama. The production provided every pupil with an equal chance to have their moment of fame. There were many memorable performances as no fewer than six Basils ran amok around the tables dealing with the famous catastrophes and predicaments from the television series. From broken down cars, choking guests and mysterious guests hiding in rooms, there was never a dull moment for Basil and his
motley crew!
