Award from Royal British Legion

We are very proud to announce that Westbourne House School has won a community award from the Royal British Legion in recognition of service to the Poppy Appeal over the last four years.

Mr and Mrs Barker received the prestigious award on behalf of the school at a reception in Shoreham.

Royal British Legion Community Fundraiser said: “You have been awarded this certificate for outstanding service to the Poppy Appeal by fundraising almost £29,000.

The young people of the school have clearly worked hard and have done the school proud. The kind and generous nature of both staff and students is a credit to the Poppy Appeal and for that we are truly grateful.

Headmaster Martin Barker said: “I know the children and all the staff will be very excited about this award. We have really enjoyed working with the Royal British Legion on this incredible project that means so much to so many.”
