Arundel Wetland Centre

As part of their topic ‘In the tall, tall grass’ Year 1 had a fabulous trip to Arundel Wetland Centre. The children have been learning all about life cycles, minibeasts and plants and the centre is the perfect place to experience these creatures up close and take part in lots of hands-on activities.

"It was such a fun trip and I really enjoyed it! The best bit was feeding the ducks because one of them came up and nibbled the grain right out of my hand. It was really tickly."

The children went pond dipping, bug hunting and learnt about common invertebrates that live in a wetland area. They also had the opportunity to feed the many ducks and geese that live there and were even visited by a mummy duck and her two ducklings who came right up to nibble Mrs Rich’s wellies!  What a fantastic trip which was enjoyed by all!

"I can’t choose a favourite part because it was all amazing!"
